And now we have a new update regarding the same. TLC transgender star Destinee Lashaee has accused show producers of forcing her to shave her beard. She furthermore made several other statements, which has left us all shocked.

Recently, Destinee has filed a lawsuit in Harris County Court In Texas under her legal name Matthew Ventress. Furthermore, she is suing production company Megalomedia for negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and fraud. The My 600 LB Life star also claims that the pressures were causing the transgender star to have suicidal thoughts.

Lashaee claims that the producers were always focusing on their ratings. Moreover, court papers obtained by The Sun, says the producers of My 600 LB Life had “taken advantage” of her. In addition to that, the company made several promises to the reality star but fulfilled none. Starting with the production company promised to pay for mental health treatment. Destinee was suffering from gender dysphoria and emotional distress.

The emotional breakdown happened after she lost her brother, in fact, he died in her arms. But Lashaee claims that the producers only provided her with one therapy session. Moreover, the therapy season was organized so that it could be filmed and later telecasted. As the later has already mentioned, everything done was from the point of view of the show’s ratings. Destinee, who is transgender, claimed she was “pressured to shave her face, which is a source of stress and anxiety to Plaintiff.”

In addition to that, Destinee is also claiming that the producers failed to administer a psychological evaluation. She was not even provided adequate mental health services during filming and after surgeries. And now She is asking for $1 million. However, the case has just begun, let’s see what happens further.
