She decided to make this public for getting over it and move on in her life.
According to her interview with People in June, Whitney said how she felt necessary to make it public. After all, people already knew it, and a baby cannot remain a private affair. Although she knew there would be drama and gossip, she chose to make everything clear to avoid backlash later. Whitney added that she was hurting, and all the rumors and talks would only add to it.
