OutDaughtered: Do Busby Family Really Earn $40K Per Episode From Their TLC Show?

OutDaughtered has a big headcount after Adam and Danielle Busby shared six children between them. This includes their eldest Blayke and the five quints. And with a family as big as this, with six children to raise, there is no doubt that Busbys need more money. The parents have to work really hard to make both ends meet and provide for their family. And it is not limited to just the basic needs but their luxuries as well. Let’s see how Adam and Danielle make money and how much they make from the TLC show.

OutDaughtered: Showrunner Terence Reveals Busby’s Earning From The Show

OutDaughtered

The Busby family includes Adam and Danielle, along with their girls – Blayke, Olivia, Ava, Parker, Hazel, and Riley. According to the reality producer Terence Michael in his interview with In Touch Weekly, the family might be earning something around $40,000 per episode of their show. This follows Terence’s revelation on 10% of the show’s budget going to the cast.

Michael estimated that the network spends about $250,000 to $400,000 on one episode of OutDaughtered. This implies that around $25,000 to $40,000 goes to the Busby family. Considering six episodes for season 6, the family must have minted somewhere between $150,000 to $240,000 for the entire season. However, the seasons with as much as 13 episodes must have got them more than $500,000.

Adam And Danielle Need All The Money They Earn!

It seems that Busbys earn a handsome amount of money. However, one look at the size of their family indicates that they need that money. According to USDA, a typical American family will spend $233,610 raising a child born in 2015 until they turn 18. If we estimate the cost of raising six girls, the Busbys might shell out $1.4 million before their daughters step into college. With that being said, Busbys do have some advantage with a bigger brood. For instance, the costs cut down as children can share bedrooms and parents can buy food in bulk. Also, toys and clothes could be shared or passed down as well.
