Pawn Stars turned 16 this year. The reality TV show began in 2009, when the audience saw Rick and the Harrison family running the world-famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop and collecting the rarest items. Rick Harrison is equally famous for his bargaining skills.

Pawn Stars: Rick Bought Hertz Penske GT Mustang

Like every other boy, Rick Harrison loves cars. In 2013, Hertz, a rental company, and American entrepreneur Roger Penske announced a collaboration. It was revealed that they will create a limited-edition Ford GT Mustang. A customer brought the cars to Harrison in 2014. He had one of the first 10 made from the special edition.

​Soon after, Rick called in an expert, Joey Logano, a professional NASCAR driver, and asked him to take a ride and check if the car was in good condition. Soon after Joey took a drive, Rick was happy to hear that everything was working properly, and he bought the special edition car for $65,000.

Here is a list of the top-most expensive buys on Pawn Stars. In Season 12, a customer purchased a 1961 Les Paul guitar that had originally belonged to his aunt, Mary. She happened to be Paul’s wife, Mary Ford. Rick said, “These things are rare, but a Gibson Les Paul actually connected to Les Paul? The value could go through the roof.” Ultimately, Rick agreed to purchase the item for $90,000. The Hertz Penske GT Mustang is also on the list of one of the most expensive buys on the show.

​Moving forward with the 1932 Lincoln Roadster. Rick bought the car in season four. It was one of 112 cars of that model produced, and it was a convertible. Rick added that the vehicle, if restored to better condition, could fetch $170,000 at auction. Another one is the New England Patriots’ Super Bowl ring from 2001. In an episode, Harrison was seen showing off his diamond-encrusted ring. He was selling the ring for $100k. Furthermore, Rick once bought Daimond earrings for $40,000. And he got to know that they are real but stole three years later he did the purchase.

​Then comes the 3,372-ounce silver collections. In Season 6, a customer entered the shop and offered to sell 3,000 ounces of silver in the form of bars and coins. Harrison bought the bars and coins for $110,000. Moving forward, he bought a wooden box of cigars which belonged t Jonh F Kennedy. Rick got the box for $60,000. Harrison once brought a gold bar which was from a 1554 Spanish Shipwreck for $35,000. Back in 90s when Joe Greene needed money, he sold one of his Olympic Medals to Rick for $30,000. Furthermore, he once brought a Dutch East India Trading Company Bell. His father, late Richard “Old Man” Harisson was not convinced if it is original.

But when checked it was, and Rick brought it for $15,000. Order of the White Eagle Medallion is also on the list as Harrison brough it for $30,000. Last, but not least, Maurice Sendak’s drawings top the list. In Season 15, Rick met an art collector who possessed 12 of Maurice Sendak’s original illustrations.
