The Pawn Stars boss Rick Harrison recently opened up about Inflation in the USA and Las Vegas. He spoke about declining tourism in the country during an interview, and the topic agitated the fans who didn’t want him to comment on it. “I’m no economist, but why on earth would you ask a pawn shop owner about how things are going?”

Pawn Shop: Gold & Silver Shop Gets 1,500 Visitors Daily Regardless Of Declining Tourism

Rick Harrison has spoken about his concerns for the shop if tourism continues to decline. He added that over the years, he has seen major changes in the tourism sector. Harrison added, “Asian tourism is really, really down, you know, because usually it’s a big part of my business..” He further explained that China, Japan, and the Philippines have the lowest numbers and are really down.

​“But Latin America is really really strong, Europe, strong…Did some meet and greets earlier today,” he added. Rick further added that he met some people from Spain, as well as others from Poland and the Czech Republic. “A little bit less customers than last year, but I’m still getting good customers…still getting big crowds,” he added. Harrison further revealed that they are getting nearly 1,500 people a day at the shop. He further discussed issues that are impacting the tourism industry.

​“I was on the Strip the other night. Me and my fiance had two drinks, and it was like $57…It’s supposed to be like $139 a night and then you show up and it’s you know…$40 a night or $50 a night resort fee,” he added. He further added that people also have to pay parking fees and other fees, which total $300 a night, and that ‘pisses people off.’ Rick also said, “It’s the most resilient town in this country and I think everything is going to be fine.”
