Pawn Stars: Rick Harrison Loved THIS Stunning Car But Refused To Buy Over $20,000!

PAWN STARS

Pawn Stars boss Rick Harrison is a car collector. Like every other boy, he also loves cars. However, he is also one of the best negotiators available. If he decided to buy an item for a particular price rate, he won’t budge too easily. At times, he has spent a considerable amount on items worth that much, but if the item’s value is less than what the guest is asking, he will never be ready to buy it.

Once, a guest brought in a car that caught Harrison’s eye. While he thought he would be able to make a lot of money from the vehicle and receive the amount he asked for, Harrison instantly refused his offer. Although he loved the car, he wasn’t visibly willing to buy it for the amount the guest was selling it for. Keep reading to know further details.

Pawn Stars: Guest Disappointed As Her Precious Item Turns Out To Be Fake!

On Pawn Stars, a lady once brought in postcards she claimed were signed by Rolling Stones members and valued them at $3,000. She further added that she brought them 30 years ago from a friend in return for a dress. However, she did not realize that the postcard had the signatures of all the band members on it. Rick further added that one of the members, Brian Jones, died at the age of 27 due to drowning.

He later called in an expert to be sure if it was real or not. At first glance, the expert stated that the signatures appear quite genuine. But he had a massive database of signatures, so he compared it with the real ones. Unfortunately, the signature proved to be fake, as several discrepancies were found. He confirmed that someone was trying to mimic the signature, which proved that the Rolling Stones members didn’t really sign the postcard. “Well, I’m a little bit disappointed. I wasn’t sure in all these years,” the guest concluded.

Pawn Stars: Rick Refuses To Buy 1961 Mercedes-Benz

Once, a guest brought a 1961 Mercedes-Benz on an episode of Pawn Stars. The car looked perfect and was in an incredible position. The card seemed to run well. The guest then disclosed that he got the vehicle customized. However, the car’s wheels were unusual, and they caught everyone’s eye. Harrison said that the size of the wheels appeared to be 25 inches, but the guest denied this and added that they were actually 19 inches.

The car was so small that its wheels seemed disproportionately large. However, that was not all; additional customization was also done to the vehicle. “Tore the cat down to the bare frame and started group up,” the guest said. He further added that he had the interior re-done, fogged the taillights, and shaved the door handles. The guest also said that he added poppers on the door so that he can open them with a remote. He also got four airbags added in all four ways.

The guest further added that he would want to sell the car for $36,000. However, Rick wasn’t entirely sure he would like to buy it for the given price, as it had undergone numerous customizations. Later, Harrison called in an expert named Danny from Counts Kustoms. At first sight, the expert loved the car and said that this was like a Chevy, a working man’s Mercedes. After taking a close look, the expert asked for a ride.

Danny and Harrison took the car for a test ride, and he noted that the engine needed some cleaning during the ride. Later, when Harrison asked for the price, the expert revealed that the normal car would have cost $20,000. And as it is customized, the price can easily go up to $28,000. But Harrison was not willing to pay that much. He later offered the guest $20,000, but unfortunately, neither party could reach a deal.
