Counting On: Amy King Shades Duggar Family

TLC

This is not the first time when Amy Duggar shaded her conservative family. Back in March, she shared a quote saying that a woman should never be silenced. This quote followed an interview with Without A Crystal Ball vlogger Katie Joy. Soon after, it was turned to private. Apparently, somebody doesn’t want the tea to spill out!

Right after speaking to Joy, Amy called her requesting to take down the interview. She shared that a certain somebody doesn’t want it to be out there. Amy took to Twitter and expressed her frustration with the whole matter. Joy had to remove the interview. Later, Joy shared in an interview that she was shocked at Amy’s request. ‘Nothing offensive was spoken about the family in the video,’ she cleared.

Amy King Shades Her Cousin, Jinger Vuolo

A few months later, Amy King (Duggar) shaded her cousin, Jinger Vuolo, for her social media post. Jinger shared that one should pray when anxious. However, Amy didn’t agree with this and went on to express her opinion on the matter. She revealed that one cannot ‘pray away’ the anxiety. Amy further explained that prayers do help, but it is okay to seek medication and expert help.

“It’s ok to not be ok,” Amy suggested. She added that mental health is not a petty issue and should not be trivialized either. It is an important matter and must be treated accordingly. She also agreed with the fact that seeking help outside is not an easy task. However, one must do it for one’s healthy self. And nobody should ever be ashamed of their personal challenges.
