RHOBH fame, Teddi Mellencamp, has been very vocal about her cancer journey from back when it was first detected to be stage 2 Melanoma. She has been sharing treatment updates on her social media eversince. The news broke out in the internet community in shock, as this news comes after her highly publicized cheating scandal ruined her reputation in public.

   

Throughout her cancer treatment, the star kept fans updated on how her cancer was detected as stage 2 melanoma on her back. She even took to her social media to share that her cancer had spread to parts of her brain and lungs and has metastasized to stage 4, earning her public sympathy and well-wishes.

RHOBH: Teddi Mellencamp Reveals Why Her Cancer Was A ‘Payback’

Teddi Mellencamp got immense hatred and received a great deal of harsh backlash after her cheating scandal broke out on the internet. The RHOBH star married her second husband, Edwin Arroyave, back in 2008 and has been married to him for 14 years. They have three beautiful children together. 

Their picture-perfect happy family image broke when it was discovered that Teddi cheated on her husband with their married horse trainer, Simon Schroeder. This revelation spread across the internet like wildfire. Teddi later confirmed it. She received significant backlash from the public, who called her a variety of names. She later opened up about how ‘Extremely sorry & regretful’ she was. The celeb tearfully questioned if her cancer was a ‘payback’ for her misdeeds.

Teddi Mellencamp shared some unexpected good news about her health. On a podcast she co-hosts with fellow tv personality, RHOOC fame, Tamra Judge, she shared, “Just to give a little life update to you guys, I had my immunotherapy yesterday and they did my scans and at this point there is no detectable cancer.” “When they told me, I was in such shock. I was like, numb,” she further added. Her fans, overjoyed, have taken to several social media platforms to share this good news and congratulate her on her betterment. 

She has gone through intense treatments of radiation, surgeries, and even immunotherapies this past year. “I have multiple tumors in my brain that weren’t able to be removed via surgery. I also have two tumors in my lungs. These are all metastases of my melanoma,” she shared on her Instagram. Back then, in an emotional check-up, the doctors gave her a 50-50 chance of survival. Those intense therapy sessions were very rough on the Bravo star. She remembered her struggles, “barely open my eyes and keep my words straight,” she recalled. 

With these new advancements in her treatment, she noted that, though the cancer has shrunk drastically, she still needs to go through immunotherapy sessions. “I still need to be on immunotherapy for another year, and I’m not considered in remission or anything like that,” she added. She bravely stated that she would keep on fighting. Dolores Catania, from The Real Housewives of New Jersey fame, reacted to this news with utmost glee.  “Oh, I’m so happy! How am I supposed to carry on after this? F–k the episode!” the RHONJ star excitedly exclaimed. 

Teddi also shared that she was temporarily pausing immunotherapy. Apparently, during this time of treatments, she underwent a profound moment of self-reflection. She opened up about how this life-and-death situation forced her to reflect on her own morality. I don’t think you understand the debilitating pain that I feel some days,” breaking down at the thought of leaving her children without a mom. “That is extremely frightening. My kids are young,” she opened up to ET in an interview.
