‘Sister Wives’: Kody and Robyn Not Paid Their Taxes Yet, Hit With Interest On Unpaid Taxes

The Sister Wives family is now known for its hasty decisions, especially in real estate. They own and rent a lot of property. However, this doesn’t mean that they are financially secure. In fact, as Christine once mentioned, they are drowning financially. According to the recent news, Kody and Robyn haven’t paid their taxes yet. The big question here is, are they bankrupt? Let’s take a look.

Sister Wives: Fans Ask Whether Brown’s Property Is Listed On The Market

According to the records, there is no piece of property of the Brown family listed for sale. They have the Coyote pass land that they own, Christine and Kody’s house, Robyn and Kody’s home, and the extra parcel of land that Kody and Robyn own.

But when Robyn and Kody purchased the property, they had a tax debt they needed to pay off. The due date was somewhere in December 2019. However, they haven’t paid it off yet. Considering that the debt is not that large, it’s a bit odd that they are stringing it along.

According to the Coconino County Treasurer, the amount is $937. They have also been charged with an interest of $47 since they didn’t pay their taxes for 2019. The annual tax for the property that he and Robyn own is quite significant. But the fact that they haven’t paid off the remaining $937 is not understood.

Sister Wives: Why Is The Brown Family Procrastinating The Payment of Their Tax Debt?

Now, we know that the family had been going through the financial crisis. They added an enormous mortgage to the new property. The same thing happened to Christine’s home. Well, sticking to Robyn and Kody for a moment, they bought nearly a million-dollar home for themselves. Making such steep expenses combined with Kody’s hasty decision for leaving Vegas out of the blue was bound to have repercussions.

Meanwhile, Meri rents a palatial home where she lives all by herself. Considering that she is the most independent of all the Sister Wives, it’s not much of a surprise. After all, she has two sources of income. One from being a salesperson for LuLaRoe. Another from her bed and breakfast.

What Do The Fans Have To Say About The Financial Situation of The Brown Family?

According to most fans, the family is extremely poor at managing money. We are not entirely sure of what Robyn and Kody do for a living. Janelle is a real estate agent. However, her income is sure to be affected during the pandemic.

Another said that Robyn is not in a position where she can afford a house with separate bedrooms for all kids. One fan even mentioned that the wives don’t have the property that they can afford and their kids’ education is also out of their budget.
