In the season 14 episode, 6 of Sister Wives, Kody, and his wives celebrate valentine’s day together. He gave each wife a bouquet of flowers. But after that, something unusual happened. Robyn gave him a hug and kissed him in front of the other wives. In the Brown family, usually, Kody doesn’t get physically affectionate with a wife in front of the other wives.
Robyn took a not of this situation and asked by the show of hand who would like to change this. Both Janelle and Christine said that they would like Kody to be physically affectionate with them even though it meant to be embracing and kissing in front of another wife. Robyn also stated that before she became a part of the Brown family, Kody and his wives were never affectionate in front of other wives. But she also thinks that it has changed since she came.
In a confessional, she said that she thinks Kody would like to be more affectionate, but he can’t. She said that, according to her, embracing her husband and kissing him as a thank you for the flowers wasn’t a big deal.

According to Christine, Kody being physically affectionate with another wife, can’t bother one if they are secure about their relationship. However, if it does, this means that there is some insecurity in the marriage. In the case of Meri and Kody, that seems to be true. They are not in a very secure place in their marriage. Kody concluded the scene by saying that it’s complicated.
Sister Wives: Meri Hinting At a Life Without The Sister Wives Family
In a recent Instagram post, Meri stated that she is comfortable with what she does and who she is. Moreover, she goes on to say that she likes to be with people who enjoy her company. From what we have seen Meri’s experience on Sister Wives, she surely doesn’t feel this way with the Brown family anymore.
Meri also stated online that she is ready to leave the past behind and look forward to the future. As for her relationship with Kody, he has mentioned before that Meri always tries to play the victim. They decided to go to couples therapy. Recently, when he was talking about the idea of everyone living in the same house, Robyn lashed out, and no wife stood in his support. However, when the scene concluded, Kody asked Meri to stay back as he wanted to talk to her. He felt like she was the only one who wouldn’t directly place blame.
