Another week brings another elimination. As in the previous week, two recruits bid farewell to the Special Forces again. Last week, the audience learned that Ravi Patel and Nick Young decided to call it quits. When the directing staff asked who wanted to leave the show, Nick Young stepped forward and ripped off his armband. Fans are well aware that the show demands both physical and mental strength simultaneously.
Furthermore, when the DS asked again who wanted to leave, Ravi joined Nick and took off his armband. Both contestants said goodbye to the show. However, this week, the contestant who was eliminated did not leave the show voluntarily. They had to bid farewell to Special Forces after suffering brutal injuries. Who are these two contestants? Keep reading to find out.

Special Forces fans are well aware that whoever wins the show does not receive a million-dollar prize. However, the recruit is respected by millions for surviving the brutal show until the end. According to reports, contestants are paid per episode, but they are not given any post-airing royalties. Their earnings entirely depend on their popularity. There is no official statement regarding the compensation earned by recruits per episode; however, speculation is that they earn between $30,000 and $100,000 per season.
Some reports reveal that contestants from previous seasons, such as Teresa Giudice and Jojo Siwa, negotiated for higher pay. From time to time, the show’s alumni have discussed the need for better pay and union protections. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Vanderpump Rules star Tom Sandoval expressed that the stars endure horrific work schedules without benefits. Still, it seems that for many, the paycheck is not a priority. For them, it’s a test they must pass to prove their resilience.
In a recent episode of Special Forces, the recruits took on a gut-wrenching challenge called ‘Murder Ball.’ All the contestants competed against each other for a ball in a mud pit. By performing the task, the recruits tested their determination. Eric seemed extremely excited about the challenge and could not wait to enter the mud pit.

His wife revealed to the cameras that Decker had not challenged himself like this since his football days. Jessie added that she wanted him to have that experience again. While he entered the challenge with utmost confidence, he left the mud pit with a severely injured back. He tried his best to survive as many rounds as possible against his co-stars, including Andrew East, Randall Cobb, Mark Estes, and Kody Brown.
Decker could barely walk back to base camp. He admitted that he felt like something had ‘popped.’ Despite being in so much pain, he did not lose his determination and added that he would continue on his journey. “I’m gonna push myself ’til exhaustion,” Eric confessed. He further added that his attitude and determination would push him through. “I know it’s going to be difficult. I’m gonna do it until my body says ‘no,'” he added.
However, when he visited Dr. Andy Brown, he was told that his body had endured enough pressure and they could not allow him to inflict any more punishment on his hip. “I don’t think that we can really safely let you carry on,” the doctor added. When he broke the unfortunate news to his wife, Jessie did not hesitate and replied that she would be leaving with him. The ‘ride-or-die’ couple’s journey ended on the show on the sixth day.
