Teen Mom Leah Messer likes to be pretty honest with daughters. It means being ‘open and raw and vulnerable’ about the most painful time in her life. However, she is absolutely okay with that. In one of her recent interviews, Leah opened up about this. The mom of three hasn’t kept her addiction story from her three girls. The inside details of her story are also shared in her book Hope, Grace & Faith.

Leah Messer has written a memoir – Hope, Grace & Faith. In this book, she candidly talked about her pain medication addiction as well as family issues. She also gave an inside peek into her suicidal thoughts. Leah is grateful to have friends and fans who were kind enough to support her. She expressed that she is ‘in complete awe of the feedback and love and appreciation of everyone.’ Moreover, Leah adds, being open and raw and vulnerable is difficult and it took her some time to be comfortable with who she is.

Leah Messer is on her road to healing and recovery. However, the stigma attached to mental health and addiction kept her from speaking openly about her struggles. But Leah believes that writing her book will close some chapters of her life, for once and for all. And that involves being totally honest with her daughters about what has happened in her past.

Leah shared that her girls are going to step in middle school. There’s nothing Leah would want to hide from them. She is not perfect and so they won’t be too. But by sharing her own story she wants to tell them what can happen if they go down that path and how scary it can be.

Messer Is On The Road To Recovery

Messer has had her share of struggles in the past. Be it Ali’s muscular dystrophy or her sisters touching milestones she didn’t, Messer continued pushing herself ahead. Leah revealed that showcasing so much of one’s personal life on the television could be daunting. However, she admits, if she can change in one person’s life, she’ll be happy.
