Teen Mom: Jenelle Evans’ Had A Sad & Lonely Christmas Amid Custody Battle

Christmas is all about family. People gather with their families to celebrate the festival with joy and laughter. However, not all families have good relationships and holiday seasons. Some family members have strained relationships with each other. They prefer to stay away from each other for a relatively quiet holiday.

MTV star Jenelle has the same relationship with her mom Barbara. The former Teen Mom star strained her relationship with her mom over her son Jace. Now, she is just going through the holiday season alone amidst the family tension.

Teen Mom: Jenelle & Mom Fight Over Jace’s Custody, Festive Season Turns Sad

MTV star Jenelle has been struggling to get her son Jace’s custody for a while now. She willingly handed her mother, Barbara, Jace’s custody in 2010. However, the Teen Mom star then wanted Jace back. So, she filed an emergency custody petition for it. This was back in January 2021. Since then, the two have had a very tense relationship.

Ever since the custody battle, “things have been pretty rocky” for Jenelle with Jace and her mom. The star also said there might be no hope of any reconciliation with her mother. Jenelle’s husband, David Eason, had allegedly abused Jace. Police even found marks on the teen’s body, indicating bodily harm. So, the court had placed Jace in Barbara’s custody. However, the teenager ran away from there.

Right now, the teen is in state custody. But the mother-daughter duo is still battling it out. Jenelle stands in support of her husband, David. She also commented about the investigation and the story being “one-sided.” All of this made the situation worse. It led to the deterioration of her relationships. And so even the holidays might be lonelier and tenser for her.

The court has allowed Jenelle contact with Jace only if the teen initiates it. However, looking at the way things are going, Jace might not want to ever get back with his mother. And since the Teen Mom star’s comments had distressed Jace, the relationship is now non-existent. Jenelle also has a gag order on her from the court for the same. A source has also told TheSun that “Jace has not spoken to Jenelle since the incident.” 

Teen Mom: The Court Gags Jenelle As The Star Distresses Her Son

Jenelle is standing with her husband, David Eason, in her son’s child abuse case. David had allegedly abused Jenelle’s son, Jace. Police found ‘injury marks’ on the teen’s body. Ever since then, they have kept Jace in state custody. But Jenelle has not sided with her son. In fact, the Teen Mom fame stood by her claim that “it is not pertaining (to)” David.

The star has even said that “David’s part of the family,” so she will not “choose one person” over the other. Jenelle even clapped back at comments, saying she chose her partner over her children. And then she went on to justify that the story was “one-sided”. If all of this wasn’t enough trauma for poor Jace, his mom also roped in his “mental health.” 

Jenelle commented on social media about “mental health” on social media. Her son Jace suffered severe mental distress because of it. So, the CPS requested the court to gag Jenelle. However, this gag order extends to all who are a part of the case. So not only Jenelle but Barbara and Jace’s dad Andrew also “can’t talk about it”.
