People Magazine reported the news, and court documents show the judge granted their divorce on July 11. As of now, Jenelle has not come out and talked about her divorce, but we can soon expect an official announcement.

It has been over a year since Jenelle and her husband, David, have been living apart. David has already moved on in life and is now dating Kenleigh. On the other hand, Jenelle had a few on-and-off relationships, but nothing worked out in her favor. The diva has also filed for a permanent name change, as she wants to go back to her original surname, which is ‘Evans.’

Jenelle posed for photos, fake-cried, and toasted with champagne, but none of her real friends were in attendance. As per the insider, Jenelle was polite and respectful but looked visibly sad. A clerk told The U.S. Sun that the judge has granted their divorce and will sign off on the order the same day. The clerk further added that the former couple is still fighting over custody and other matters in court, and they still have a long way to go.

Their marriage is officially over, but they still have many issues to discuss and settle, including custody, property, and more. The mediation process will shortly start, and then we will get a clear picture. A source also told The U.S. Sun that Jenelle was not present in court to receive the news, but her attorney appeared on her behalf. On the other hand, her maiden name will also be restored today.

As per the North Carolina Judicial Branch, one is eligible for divorce only after they have separated from their spouse for at least a year. Jenelle officially applied for divorce in May 2025, after staying apart for over a year. She recently also threw a massive divorce party in New York. Jenelle and David got married in September 2017, after a brief engagement in the same year.

The duo welcomed their daughter, Ensley, soon after, but the relationship did not last long. They had several issues and even accused each other of violence and whatnot. Authorities even arrested David after he allegedly trespassed on Jenelle’s property, trying to steal. However, after all the chaos, the couple has now officially finalized their divorce.
