Teen Mom: Ryan Edwards Did Not Lose Custody After Court No-Show!
According to several reports, Ryan from Teen Mom skipped a crucial court hearing about joint custody of his and estranged wife Mackenzie’s kids. Ryan had filed a “Motion to Adopt a Temporary Parenting Plan” accusing Mackenzie of stopping the kids from visiting him at Grandma Jen’s house. This led to Ryan filing court documents to demand a temporary parenting plan, forcing Mackenzie to let him see his children while also paying his legal fees.
However, on Monday, July 8, Ryan skipped the court appearance. But the MTV star also proved the reason behind his absence. According to AshleyRealityRoundUp, Ryan’s lawyer advised him that his attendance at this particular hearing wasn’t necessary. Following the confusion, Ryan fired his attorney. However, the lawyer is on the list as Ryan’s representative, as of now.
A source told the publication that Ryan’s attorney, as well as Mackenzie and her lawyer, were present at the court. However, the court could not proceed without Ryan, ultimately pushing the hearing to the end of July. For now, there is no requirement for Mackenzie to change the visitation arrangements.
“Mackenzie didn’t ‘win full custody’ today as it’s being reported online,” one source confirmed. “No one won or lost anything. Everything stays the same. There’s no truth to those reports that are saying that Ryan ‘lost custody’ of his kids because he didn’t come to the hearing.”
