The star said that the day gave her “all the feels” in a message that she posted on her Instagram story. “Because if you think about it, 35 years ago, my mom was preparing to give birth to me,” and now Lala was preparing to give birth to her daughter, Sosa, as Lala gave birth to her one day after her 34th birthday on September 3, 2024.

Lala said it’s weird as people are asking her. She stated, “What are you doing for your birthday?’ and quite honestly, I forgot about it because tomorrow is Sosa’s birthday, so I’m just fixated on that, and in a weird way.” She said it was definitely “weird” to overlook the milestone but explained that motherhood had shifted her priorities.

Fan-favorite Lala Kent of Vanderpump Rules celebrated her birthday on September 2. While all her friends posted pictures of the star, Tom’s wish caught the eye. Schwartz posted a photo of Kent sitting on a couch, making a peace sign and sticking out her tongue. Over the image, he wrote, “Happy Bday to my imaginary internet gf,” tagging Lala in the post. 

Kent reposted the picture on her own Instagram story, openly joining in on the “imaginary girlfriend” joke. This led fans to believe the two have been engaged in a secret romance. Earlier in July, the two reality stars addressed all of their dating rumors in an episode of Schwartz’s podcast, Detox Retox.

Tom straightly dismissed the claims, stating, “If it’s on the internet, it’s true, right? This is a hard launch,” before clarifying they were not together. Tom later said the two are just good friends and had “no clue where that rumor originated.” Kent, on her part, discussed her priorities, which include her daughter, Sosa, who celebrated her first birthday the day after Lala’s. In an Instagram story, she admitted that she forgot about her own birthday as she remained focused on her daughter’s milestone. 

Tom and Lala also talked about their friendship dynamics on an episode of Kent’s “Give Them Lala” podcast. They discussed the strong “chemistry” between them but clearly denied any sign of romance between the two. Kent said she would be “too high-strung and intense” for Schwartz, while he recalled her joking that she would “chew him up.” The strength of their bond lies in friendship rather than romance.
