Vanderpump Rules’ Lisa Vanderpump’s nephew, Sam, makes news with a heartbreaking health diagnosis. The 28-year-old has been suffering gravely due to his liver disease for months now. Doctors recently gave him a short time to live without an organ transplant. Doctors have diagnosed the ‘Made In Chelsea’ star with “end-stage liver disease” with high fatality risks. Fans of MIC saw Sam’s revelation on TV, where he laid it all out to co-star Ollie Locke.
Late in 2024, doctors diagnosed the reality TV star with life-threatening sepsis. He suffered horribly back then due to kidney and liver failure. His girlfriend had him hospitalized at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital with what they thought was a bad case of the flu. Later, the doctors revealed on closer inspection that his liver and kidneys had stopped working, and he needed medical attention pronto.

Back in December, last year, Sam had been suffering horribly with what he thought was a case of the nasty flu. The Vanderpump lad was additionally ‘delirious’ from dehydration and severe back pain, spending days in his bed. Following his worsening condition, his “quick-thinking” girlfriend Alice called an ambulance and had him hospitalized at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Therefore, that one action saved his life.
Doctors after diagnosing Sam’s condition, informed he would have died if it were 24 hours later that he was hospitalized. The “bad flu” turned out to be liver and kidney failure due to a genetic condition. While Sam’s immune system was fighting the organ failures, he contracted sepsis. “You never think the flu will lead to you being in a hospital bed and nearly dying,” he spoke out later. Doctors gave him 4-5 years to live without the organ transplants.
Vanderpump Rules’ Lisa Vanderpump’s nephew, Sam Vanderpump, reveals he has a final stage liver disease.” Doctors have given him four to five years to live without organ transplants. He revealed this devastating news on his TV show, “Made In Chelsea,” to co-star Ollie Locke. “We had a call from the doctors and I’ve got end-stage liver disease,” Sam revealed on episode 4.

“There is no hope of my liver getting better,” Sam got candid about the bitter truth. “They’re sending me for a liver transplant assessment,” he also shared the update. In an emotional heart-to-heart, he shared that he hopes someday he’ll get that life-changing surgery and wake up healthy. “I got an infection due to a genetic disease I’ve got, which led to sepsis,” he talked about his scary hospital visit.
The 28-year-old had a near-death experience earlier this year when his kidneys and liver failed. The doctors were able to get it under control. Sam was bedridden and fixed up with a catheter. ‘My white cells, which are meant to be between 8-12, were double that. My liver enzymes, which are meant to be at 40, were at 140,” he shared the doctor’s diagnosis.
Sam and his girlfriend, Alice, also recently shared the good news of the birth of a new life with his famous aunt, Lisa. The RHOBH alumna appeared in an episode of “Made In Chelsea,” where Sam revealed the news. Lisa was visibly elated and very happy with the news.
