This resulted in the couple moving away from the family to get their space. Although it seems that this couple is very much in love, they do have their fair share of disagreements as well. Recently, they had a bit of word on Olivia’s navel piercing because Ethan does not seem to appreciate the idea of it. Let’s have a look at it.
Welcome to Plathville: Olivia Plans To Get The Navel Piercing, Ethan Is Not Excited
According to People’s exclusive sneak peek of Tuesday’s episode, we see Olivia informing her husband about getting her navel pierced. She says that life’s short and so, one must do fun things. Now although this really doesn’t seem like a big thing, Ethan begs to differ. Later, he says in the confessional that he doesn’t like them. The piercings do not excite him. He further recalled an incident where he first saw them. So, it was a large lady who had these piercings and she seemed to be ‘spilling out!’ This is followed by Olivia, 21, asking her husband not to share such things because it’s rude.
Ethan further notes that if their roles were reversed, he would not get the piercing at all. However, Olivia adds that this makes the two different. She goes on to explain about growing up in a patriarchal setup that has shaped her thoughts. She puts forth how if a man would gently tell her not to do something, she’d think about it. But if someone gets outright dominant, she would simply not agree with it.
Ethan Is Concerned About Their Sex Life After Olivia Gets Piercing
Ethan has another concern with Olivia’s navel piercing. He’s afraid that this will affect the couple’s sex life. In the clip, we see Ethan asking Olivia if this piercing would end up not having sex for straight eight weeks. To this, Olivia laughs and then blurts that this is the reason why they don’t have a kid just yet! Olivia explains it to Ethan that this would not be the case. They can have sex but they’d have to be cautious with the positions! This will probably make them more creative with regards to having sex in their bedroom.
When Did Olivia And Ethan Meet Each Other?
Ethan and Olivia met each other in 2014 at a Christian family event. The two were probably 16 and 17-year-old around that time. As Olivia maintains in her blog, Ethan didn’t make any first impression, but it seems that Olivia surely did. The two met again in 2016 and started dating each other for a year or so before tying the knot in 2017. Initially, Olivia had a good equation with the Plaths but with time, she grew resentful. Now, the young couple does not maintain any contact with Ethan’s parents.
