Coronation Street and EastEnders Formers Team Up For A Project

Coronation Street Stephen Reid actor Todd Boyce is set to join one of the EastEnders, former Neil McDermott, for an upcoming project. Both soap formers are bringing a play, ‘Sleuth,’ for their fans. The Corrie actor shared the news by sharing a picture with Neil on his social media. He wrote, “Sleuth! First day at school – but have a new mate who’s really cool.” The actors will be sharing the stage at the Princess Theatre, Torquay. The play will be staged from February 19 to 24 and will move to the Grand Opera House in York from February 26 to March 2.

The Anthony Shaffer play revolves around the story of a young man who unexpectedly finds himself in a complicated web of mystery and gamesmanship at the impressive home of a famous mystery writer. Reportedly, McDermott will play the young man and the character of the writer by Coronation Street star Boyce. Basically, it is a psychological thrill drama highlighting human conflict, jealousy, and manipulation. It promises to confuse even the finest sleuth (detective).

The Coronation Street former made his exit from the show after his character died. Recently, opening up about his new project, he said, “Bill Kenwright, a former Corrie actor turned theatre producer, has just offered me — without even blinking — the Laurence Olivier part in Sleuth.” Boyce shared that he will be doing a tour around London, starting from Winsor and then returning to Salford.
