Days of Our Lives star Camila Banus, who plays Gabi Hernandez DiMera, recently took on to Instagram to make an important announcement about her health. In a new video, Banus put on a diamond teardrop filter since she had a piece of sad news to share. Unfortunately, Banus is COVID positive and is now in quarantine. Banus, thankfully, does not have any severe symptoms. However, she is battling mild congestion, and she is having issues with taste and smell. The actress seems to be in good spirits. She still wanted to give everyone a heads up about the diagnosis.
In the video, she says that as everyone knows that she was traveling in Florida. She got engaged, which is amazing news. When she was coming back on the 25th, she did not feel right. This prompted Banus to get a COVID test done and see what might be happening. Banus says, “And your girl tested positive.” She says that it is what it is. She is a strong girl, so she is keeping with her vitamins.
Banus went on to say that she is grateful for all the wishes that her fans have been sending her. She reveals that she plans to keep herself occupied with fun things while she is at home. The actress reveals that she will be quarantined for ten days. Then she will check with the health care providers about what she must do next. There will be a follow-up test to make sure that Banus is clear before she returns to the Days of Our Lives.

According to the Days of Our Lives preview for 2021, Gabi is all set to come back in the soap opera after Jake and Kate would go public with their relationship.
