Good news for Coronation Street fans! A former resident is up for a potential comeback as the actor Sean Wilson drops hints about returning to the TV. Sean was popular for his portrayal of Martin Platt, Gail’s ex-husband. He exited the cobbles in 2005, and since then, he has been working in the food industry. Coronation Street: Sean Wilson To Make An Acting Comeback

Former Coronation Street Star Sean Wilson has recently teased the possibility of an acting comeback. Corrie fans know him as Martin Platt, Gail’s ex-husband, who was a part of the soap from 1985 to 2005. He even made a cameo in 2018. However, then he switched careers and started working as a chef. Currently, he runs a cheese company. 

Nevertheless, recently, the Coronation Street former confirmed that he is thinking of making an acting return as he has a lot to give on that side. The actor hopes to work in a more serious drama. He said, “My agent keeps putting me up for them, and when I see them on the TV, I’m like, ‘Oh my god, why am I not in this?” However, he asserted that he is not desperate for it. 

Additionally, Wilson shared that a production company is pitching him a food-based show to the Discovery Channel. He asserted that he is still talking to the production company. Last year, the actor announced that he could return to Coronation Street. He said, “I made it clear that I could be turned, but now it’s 2023, and nothing has happened.”

At the same, the Corrie former said that the writers decided to send him to New Zealand. He added, “I am busy writing books, but of course, I would give it some thought.” What do you think?
