Not only that, he is quite literally begging her to stay with him. However, now with how the events turned out recently, it sounds like he is now obsessed with her. Both of them were planning a sweet cozy life together. Peter was looking at this as a way to start afresh. He wanted to become a good man. However, when he came to know about Alex being his mother, somehow, he didn’t want to be good anymore. In fact, she started wanting to embrace his dark side.
The latest General Hospital spoilers say that he will not be able to have it both ways. Either he will have to become a good man or let go of baby Lou and Maxie. But he wouldn’t want to do any of that. So, it is possible that his love might now turn toxic. He might do whatever he had to make sure that Maxie stays with him.

Maxie does have allies in Port Charles. Her dad Mac Scorpio will do everything to save his daughter and would go above and beyond about it. Maxie’s uncle Robert Scorpio will do the same. However, with Peter alive and free, Maxie and the baby will always be in danger.
Will The History Repeat Itself?
Long-time viewers of the show would recall how Anna had become a subject of obsession for Faison. Would history be repeating itself? Would Maxie become the subject of obsession for Peter and suffer? It is possible that Peter and Maxie might become the next Anna and Faison on the soap opera. Of course, the two of them started their relationship out of love, but with Peter becoming toxic, anything is possible. It is also possible that eventually, Peter might decide that he wouldn’t take a no for an answer and would force Maxie to be with him. He would even kidnap her along with baby Lou.
