General Hospital Star Maurice Bernard (Sonny) Confirms His Status On The Soap Opera Amid Exit Rumors

General Hospital

The latest General Hospital spoilers suggest that actor Maurice Benard who plays the character of Sonny on the soap opera, has taken onto his social media to confirm his status on the show. He has revealed the reason why he is still not in Port Charles. The actor posted a black and white picture of him in shades with some words written across the picture.

These words were, “For those who think that he is not on the show because of COVID or Movie, Not True.” This statement actually does clear up things for fans who cannot wait to see back on Port Charles being Sonny. The actor captioned this picture- “Love you Guys.”

While this does not really clear out why the viewers haven’t got to see him much these days, we now know that it isn’t because of COVID or any movie. Fans of the actor were quick to pour love and questions about his return to Port Charles on this post. One fan wrote that he should implore the writers to end this storyline and bring him home before Nina does any more damage. Another fan says that they Miss Sonny! They do like Mike, but they love the bad boy Sonny and miss him a lot.

Right now, “Mike” is in Nixon falls with almost no memories of his past. He is getting closer to Nina and making new connections in the new town. However, General Hospital spoilers hint that there is a huge possibility that Sonny might remember something soon. Would he? How would the plot change then? He will indeed get really mad at Nina. We will have to wait to see when Mike becomes Sonny again and what happens next. So, you stay tuned. At the moment, let’s hope Sonny comes back soon.
