Fans who have been keeping up with the show know that Nate and Elena slept together some time ago. And ever since then, things have been really difficult for both of them. The latest spoilers suggest that Nate will do something drastic in the days to come. What could it be? Here is all we know about it-
Nate Is Severely Injured
Elena is already dealing with the terrible breakup with Devon, but Nate has it worst. Devon quite literally attacked Nate after he came to know about what happened between Nate and Elena. It looked like Devon just wanted to make sure that things were even there; however, Nate ended up being hit too hard. He even got severely injured when the glass he was holding broke in Nate and Devon’s fight. What looked like not a big issue at first looks like it indeed is a big one. Firstly, the cut was deep, and secondly, he is a surgeon. Now Nate, himself, is doubtful if he would ever have a steady hand to do more surgeries. If that does become a problem, Nate can still be a good physician. That indeed is good news. But if he stops being a surgeon, that would impact him in more than one way.
The Young and the Restless: Would Devon Face Legal Charges?
So far, Nate is just struggling with self-pity and grief. This is completely understandable. He is going through a lot. The man recently lost his livelihood and now his relationship with the cousin he loved. So, could someone suggest Nate take legal action against Devon and all the injuries he had suffered? If we look at the whole situation, Devon was never criminally charged with assault charges for what he did to Nate. All this happened in a public space, after all.
Civil Litigation Might Be The Way
If not criminal charges, could Nate press civil litigation on Devon? He could decide to sue Devon for all the money he might have made if he were able to work as a surgeon. That would be a difficult situation if Nate did decide to drag Devon to the court and sued him. Nate can easily ask for a couple hundred million dollars and the punitive damages given that Devon recently got his portion of the 2 million dollar fortune. Nate’s career as a surgeon is ruined because of Devon’s temper.
Of Course, suing Devon would mean some upsetting and public testimony about everything that happened in the Grand Phoenix. This would mean that Elena and Nate will have to put the truth about their affair in public. It could very easily get super messy, given the nature of the situation.
