The Young and the Restless Spoilers will get fans excited for the upcoming week. Turns out Jon Briddell is all set to join the Y&R team. He will be playing the role of “Eric Vanderway.” He will be seen as an older family member of Theo Vanderway who has been stirring up a lot of drama in Genoa City.
Meanwhile, Theo is currently dating Summer Newman, even though the relationship is quite casual, he is doing everything he can to support Summer through her tough times. She’s been having family troubles and Theo supports her through thick and thin. But one thing’s for sure he lacks emotionality. He even shared details about his father’s death to comfort her which is a milestone for him. But no matter how hard he tries, he can’t seem to make up for that department.
One does wonder whether Theo is being honest or not because Eric Vanderway is being played by an actor whose age seems like a better fit for his father. Something to think about. Don’t you think?
The Young and The Restless Spoilers: Is It True That Eric Is Theo’s Father?
Well, there are speculations that Eric could be Theo’s father who has come to Genoa city looking for his son. If not father, he could also be his elder brother. But there are more chances of him being his father because it sure has turned up in the conversation.

And, if this is the case, then did Theo end up lying to Summer about his father’s death? We mean, that would be a pickle, we wouldn’t want to be in! Given the fact that Theo is very insecure and totally gives the impression of being a guy who can build up a story when he doesn’t know what to do and how to react.
But that’s not all to the story, he also has a side where he could be seriously hurt by a parent’s untimely death. It is a possibility that Eric appears in Theo’s flashbacks. He could recollect another memory about his dad to Summer.
Y&R: Theo Vanderway Might Have A Lot of Explaining To Do!
Let’s assume that Eric is Theo’s dad, then the plot will thicken as such that he will have a lot of explaining to do to a lot of people, especially Summer. And, given the situation, Summer is not at all in a position to handle yet another tragedy. Here it would be betrayal from Theo. There are chances that this will drive her further into Kyle Abbott’s arms for an emotional cushion.
At this point, it will be very interesting to see in what relation does Eric fall into. We mean, the actor playing the role has a pretty tight resume. He has been a part of Doom Patrol, Queen America and even American Crime Story. He was also a part of Nancy Drew and The Hidden Staircase.
