The numero uno soap opera The Young and The Restless has recently kick-started its 50th season. The makers had teased that viewers will get to enjoy fun surprises all through the season in celebration of completing fifty successful years and counting! In one such fun update, the official Twitter account of The Young and The Restless posted a video of Jack Abbott sharing some fun facts about his journey on the soap!
The Patriarch of the mighty Abbott family, Jack Abbott, has been on The Young and The Restless for over 40 years! Wow! That’s a huge feat.! The character was introduced in 1980 and has been portrayed magnificently by actor Peter Bergman since 1989. While Jack has gone through many different storylines and plot twists through his four-decade journey on the mega soap. Some things about him have remained the same.
The Young and The Restless official account’s Twitter video shows Jack pointing at scrolling texts spelling out four fun facts about his character! - Through his four-decade journey on The Young and The Restless, Jack Abbott has been married to SIX different women! These women include Patty Williams and Lindsey Wells (Lauren Koslow). However, this one ended up invalid. Then came along Nikki Reed Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Luan Volien (Elizabeth Sung), Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), and Sharon Collins (Sharon Case). Interestingly, Jack married some of these ladies more than once!
- Jack delivered his ex-wife Phyllis’s baby in an elevator! Yup! That really happened on The Young and The Restless! The baby was Phyllis’s daughter with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Named Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), and is now married to his son, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Jack fathered Kyle with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).
