We can’t wait for you to experience the magic onscreen in 2020!” Later in the first week of January 2020, the creators also announced that only two weeks of filming are left. As of now, the filming part of the second season is done. And the show is currently in its post-production stage.

The debut season of this series ended with a massive cliffhanger. Dianna and Matthew successfully time traveled and reached London Circa 1590. Meanwhile, Sarah burned the book, which has details about them. It will be exciting to see how the couple will manage to survive at that time.
A Discovery Of Witches Season 2 will follow the second book of the trilogy. The upcoming season will reveal more about Matthew’s past and explore the secrets of Diana’s magical powers. According to the book, there will be a mission which is to discover a witch to teach Diana and to find traces of Ashmole 782. Still, as the net of Matthew’s past constricts around them, they begin on a very unusual journey, one that takes them into the heart of the 1500-year-old vampire’s shadowed history and secrets. For Matthew Clairmont, time travel is no easy matter, nor is Diana’s search for the core to understanding her legacy.

They will see Michael Jibson as “Emperor Rudolf II.” He is well known for his roles in Hatfields & McCoys and The Thirteenth Tale. Along with him, Tom Hughes will also join the cast as “Kit Marlowe.” He is renowned for his role as Prince Albert in the ITV drama Victoria. The fans are eagerly waiting for the hiatus to come to an end. They are just waiting for the day they will see their favorite fantasy drama back on screen.
