Altered Carbon Season 2: Renewal & Production Status

The response to Laeta Kalogridis’ Altered Carbon was pretty huge back around its February 2018 debut. Millions of fans around the globe were demanding a second season. Hence, Netflix had to give them a green flag. It sure made us wait for a while but eventually gave us the renewal by July 2018.
Productions for Altered Carbon Season 2 were stretched until the next year. The new cast members began filming with some of the known faces from Season 1 back in February 2019. Some of them shared pictures from the set in Vancouver. Since the series has to undergo much work related to special effects, it may take time to be back on our Netflix screens.

What Will Happen In The Latest Season?

Based on Richard K. Morgan’s 2002 cyberpunk fiction, the TV series with the same name has a strong concept to give us. The initial plot twirled around prisoner Takeshi Kovacs, who reverts to life in a new body after 250 years below the ice. In order to win his freedom, he has to solve a suspenseful murder.
Netflix is yet to give us any hints about the plot of Altered Carbon Season 2. However, we expect it to follow the events of the first installment. The second season is expected to pick up from 30 years later and includes corporate wars on alien planets and Martian artifacts that reveal portals to outer space.
