The second installment of Altered Carbon is out, and Altered Carbon Season 3 has already become the talk of the town. The second season of the show left fans only wanting more. Altered Carbon is set on a backdrop where humans are implanted with stack in their spines when they are born. This stack stores all their mind and memories that get transferred from one body to another for eternal life. Takeshi, the protagonist of the show, is a former soldier that becomes a rebel after falling in love with the leader of the resistance group. This resistance group is trying to restore the natural balance of life and death. By the end of season 2, Takeshi tracks down his lost love, Quellcrist Falconer, only to find out that she has changed into a violent Vendetta. What Will Happen In Altered Carbon Season 3?
That’s that. Altered Carbon can also see Takeshi wearing a new mask when he returns. Hia elite combat sleeve had incinerated by the Angelfire when he sacrificed his own life to kill the Elder. Initially, it looked like Takeshi’s death was for good when Takesh Kovacs Prime took over. However, by the end of season 2, Poe returned after being shut. He discovered that raw human DHF were hidden inside his memory. Dig and Poe together analyzed it. Following that, he confirmed that DHF was Takeshi.
In the final battle, Poe was shut-down forcibly after Takeshi’s sacrifice. The last thing he did before disintegrating was to make a sticky note with a decryption key for Takeshi’s DHF. However, it is unclear how and when the DHF was saved on Poe’s memory. Altered Carbon Season 3 could cover that.
There are possibilities that Altered Carbon season 3 could also feature a time jump. In the first season of the show, Takeshi had solved the mystery to earn his freedom, in season 2 he used that freedom to go after Quell. Now in the third season, he may have the choice to either go and follow her to Harlan’s world or stay and work with Takeshi Prime.
Schapker on Altered Carbon Season 3
Altered Carbon Season 3 will most probably focus on the consequences of Double Stacking. It will also feature how Poe and Dig’s relationship is changing. The main question is, how will things change for the third installment of the show? In an interview with IGN, Schapker hinted that Altered Carbon would have the presence of elders through technology. He revealed that for him, it would be inadequate if the show only has humans even in space. He does not imagine the future to be like that. The ending of season 2 really left a mark on Harlan’s world. The third season will fo on from having a planet which is ringed by the elders to having a giant explosion leading to a gaping hole in the planet, and that is how the story will continue to happen, he added.
Who Will We See In Season 3?
Altered Carbon Season 3 will surely have Yun Lee as Takeshi Kovacs. Along with him, Chris Conner (Edgar Poe), Renee Elise Goldsberry (Quellcrist Falconer), Simone Missick (Trepp), and Dina Shihabi (Dig 301) are coming back. There are many reasons why we believe that many new faces will join the show for the third installment. In fact, one of the new faces will lead the show. In an interview, Schapker addressing his fans said that if they do their jobs right, fans will get to see different actors play Kovacs season after season as consciousness will be transferred sleeve after sleeve.
Is The Show Renewed? When Is It Coming?
Altered Carbon season 3 is due for renewal. Netflix usually takes up some time to renew the show. At the earliest, we may get to hear the news on Altered Carbon Season 3 by April 2020.
The second season of Altered Carbon came almost two years after the first season of the show released. This was because Netflix took too long to renew the show. Altered Carbon Season 2 wasn’t renewed until July 2018. Five months post the release of the first season. If Altered Carbon faces similar delays, fans may have to wait until 2020 for the return of the show. If the show gets an early renewal, we can expect the show in late 2021.
