Atlanta Season 3: Into Production! Future, Plot Details, And More

Atlanta Season 3

FX

Atlanta Season 3: It has been nearly three years since we last saw Donald Grover’s critically acclaimed series Atlanta. And now, it looks like the wait is over. Atlanta Season 3 is happening, and it is coming sooner than one might think. Glover and the whole team were gearing up to start shooting the upcoming third and fourth season of the show last year before the pandemic happened. But it all pushed over all the plans. Now, the good news is that the team is all ready to get back into productions. They will get back for filming this spring and will shoot for Atlanta Season 3 and 4 back to back one after another.

A report by The Hollywood Reporter reveals that the team for Atlanta will start production in March, and they plan to shoot the seasons back to back. Reports suggest that the team is looking forward to air new episodes of the upcoming seasons as soon as they can. The first season aired in 2016, and because of Glovers’ extremely busy schedule and his insisting on making the show as good as they can, the second season of the series did not come back until March 2018. Then FX renewed the show for Atlanta Season 3 and 4.

What Is The Future Of The Show After The Fourth Season?

It was reported that Glover has exited from his overall deal at FX and is now a part of a new, multiple-year, eight-figure deal with Amazon. In fact, Glover has already started working on a project called Mr. And Mrs. Smith with Phoebe Waller-Bridge. This is one of the many projects. Not just Donald but his brother Stephen, the writer, producer of Atlanta, has also signed an overall deal with Amazon.

As for how this change would affect the future of Atlanta, the good news is that there will not be any impact at all. Although FX has not yet renewed the show after the fourth season, the hope that we will get more seasons after the fourth one is possible. Glovers’ contract with Amazon gives him an option that allows him to work on Atlanta even after the fourth season if FX renews it and Grover wants to do it.

What Would Happen In Atlanta Season 3?

It looks like The Atlanta series will only get darker as they move forward with Atlanta Season 3. Now that viewers are aware of the lengths Earn is willing to go to protect himself and Al, things might get more twisted. Viewers might recall that before the two of them were able to board their flight to go across the globe for their tour by the end of the second season, Earn realized that he has his uncle’s fun in his language. He had shoved it into Clark County’s bag before they went through the airport security.

Earn was able to carry on as nothing had happened, but Clark County’s manager took the fall to protect the client. That was a moment of huge significance because it established that this theme could continue and come back as the two of them continue to navigate the industry and the success.

Showrunners of the series explained that they had hoped to get more female-centric stories as they move forward in the season. Zazie Beetz’s Van is now the leader of the show, but until now, we have only got to see one episode where viewers got to see her and her girlfriends. Viewers can expect to see more such stories in Atlanta Season 3. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Stephen Glover, the writer/producer of the series, revealed that he has some cool ideas that would put more women together on screen.

Viewers can expect to see some great storylines coming up in Atlanta Season 3. The production for the upcoming seasons has started. So, we can expect to see a new episode by the end of 2021. We will keep you updated with all the news about the show as it surfaces. Stay tuned.
