Atypical Season 3 is just mere weeks away from its premiere on Netflix. And the audience, especially teenagers, are longing to see Sam and the Gardener family back. The news related to the upcoming season of Netflix’s family drama is flaring like fire. And also, the fans want to have all the updates related to the next season as soon as possible.
The coming-of-age story of Netflix follows Sam (Keir Gilchrist), a 19-year-old on the autism spectrum. He is in search of love and independence. While Sam is on his funny and emotional journey of self-discovery, the rest of his family must catch up with changes in their own lives.

Atypical Season 3: Trailer Released

The trailer featured Sam in a whole new world now, where he has to deal with everything on his own. After gathering all his courage, he has reached to college now, yet fears that he is doomed. Also, Sam mentions in the trailer that 4 out of 5 students on the spectrum don’t graduate college within four years. And he is aiming to be that one out of five students who achieve that degree in the allotted time only.

This season, Sam will start his first year at college, all alone in the new atmosphere. There, he will try to figure out what success is for him. Meanwhile, Sam also has to deal with the changes that are coming up across him as he is growing more and more with the time. Although he still regularly seeing his own family and working with Zahid, he has to go through tougher courses, new social interactions, and everything else that comes with being an undergrad.

Back at home, his sister, Casey (Brigette Lundy-Paine), is trying to reveal her sexuality and to keep pace with it. Because she hasn’t seen Izzie since their late-night handholding in the Season 2 finale. And not to forget, their mother Elsa (Jennifer Jason Leigh) will continue her journey of self-acknowledgment, as her children are now own their own. Meanwhile, Doug is also forming a relationship with a new woman from his peer group, which suggests that tough times are to come for Sam’s mom and dad.
Also, the journey seems to be a little harsh for Sam, as he won’t be able to see his therapist Julia in the third season. Actress Keir Gilchrist herself unveiled this in an interview with The Wrap. However, the next season will bring some new faces in the life of Sam. Season 3 will feature Sara Gilbert (The Conners) as his new Ethics professor and Eric McCormack (Will and Grace) as his art professor.
