The series- Batwoman debuted will a huge 1.86 million viewership. The series has delivered really strong numbers, and hence the renewal was no surprise. By the end of the first season, Kate came to terms with the fact that her sister is alive and she is also the villain who is terrorizing the city. The show came in with a lot of drama and action. Now that talks about Batwoman season 2 are in the air, the showrunner Caroline Dries has dropped some hints on what is coming up in the upcoming installment. Here is all we know so far.

Batwoman Season 2: Hush Is Coming Into the Gotham City

Gabriel Mann is making his official debut as Hush in Batwoman season 2. Hush is the supervillain alter ego of the real estate mogul. He is also the Bruce Wayne obsessive Tommy Elliot. His appearance in the show looks quite dramatic with all the bandages and a stylish trench coat. He has a pre-existing and antagonistic relationship with Kate as Tommy. But now, as Hush, he will build a new and even dangerous character. With Alice at his side, they might try and even crack the Lucius Fox’s journal.

Talking about making Hush, the main villain Caroline Dries says that they knew they were making him the villain mainly because he is such a delicious villain. Hush has a very interesting psychosis, and he was obsessed with Bruce Wayne, and that made him goof foil for Kate. Along with that, Hush was a Batman villain. When it comes to Batwoman, some people have never heard of her, but she is a part of the bat family, and Batman’s world is also Batwoman’s world.

Hush And Alice Will Co-exist In The Upcoming Season

The Batwoman showrunner Caroline Dries reveals that Hush the new villain at the Gotham city will co-exist in the current landscape with Alice. Dries revealed that the series would never go on with the traditional villain of the week kind of arcs. Hush’s storyline will work when they tie his and Alice’s story together in a way where both stories make sense. This set-up will give Hush a new Batwoman- specific original story. Not just that, this new arc will give him a reason to fight Kate without linking it to her cousin. It also will keep Alice alive and active in the story for her own reasons.

Alice Will Still Be Dangerous

Keeping Alice alive and not sidelining her was the biggest challenge Dries revealed. They did not want to make her story feel redundant and still wanted her active. The trick they found was to keep her dangerous. Along with being dangerous, Alice will have to have her emotional journey, and then that would make everyone satisfied.

While Hush will be the one who goes on to fight the Batwoman, Alice and her friends will take over the streets of Gotham. Alice will still be the person who pulls strings behind. She will still be fueled with her desire to seek the ultimate revenge against her own sister. Tommy will be more interested in getting a new face than to figure out the kind of Bat-killing weapon the Lucius Fox’s journal has. However, for the moment, he and Alice have the same goal. He will not let Alice get away from him. He needs her.

Batwoman Season 2 Will Come In With Huge Surprises

Like every other series, Batwoman, too, saw the production shut down due to coronavirus pandemic that has taken over the world.
