In an interview with Deadline, the lead star of the show, Bob Odenkirk made some significant comments for the upcoming Better Call Saul Season 5. According to him, this one is the best season they have ever done. Not just this, Bob also exclaimed that Season 5 is going to blow everyone’s mind.
Moreover, Bob also seems pretty excited for the upcoming season, like a fan of the show, and which he is. As Bob stated, “I’m not kidding about either of those things. It’s f*cking awesome. I can’t wait for the audience to see it. It’s just shattering in every direction, and I love it.”

Odenkirk on Chuck’s Death
The fourth season of Better Call Saul was devastating for Bob’s character, Jimmy McGill. He lost his elder brother Chuck, who was the most important person of his life. The fourth season saw Jimmy processing the death of his brother. Though Chuck never put Jimmy equal to him and has been a constant enigma in his life, Jimmy was loyal to him. And with his departure, Jimmy left utterly devastated. Also, Chuck’s suicide revealed something essential about Jimmy’s character.
On that, Bob Odenkirk discussed this situation in the same interview. According to him, in Jimmy’s entire life, he was trying to win his brother’s affection and respect. Now without him, Jimmy is broken in such a way because of Chuck’s choice that he’ll end up being Saul pretty much full-time. This means that one of the reasons for good lawyer Jimmy McGill turning to shabby criminal lawyer Saul Goodman is his brother’s suicide.
Better Call Saul Season 5: Plot Details
The fourth season of the show ended with Jimmy teasing the arrival of Saul Goodman. Jimmy’s last line was “that’s all good, man,” or Saul Goodman to his beloved Kim. Therefore, the upcoming season will see Jimmy or Saul turning his law practice to the criminal side.
Also. in an interview with THR, Bob stated that the previous four seasons of the show were set to provide some essential points which audience will witness in Season 5. According to him, just like Breaking Bad, they’ve (writers) been building it slowly, but it’s turning, and now it’s turning rapidly. Bob also revealed that this slow building up of the plot is like a roller coaster, where it goes up and then starts going downhill, where it can not stop.
Better Call Saul Season 5: Premiere Date
The show is in its production phase for now. Therefore, the fans of the crime drama have to wait for quite some time to hear the official premiere date for the fifth season of the show. However, Better Call Saul is set to returns to AMC in 2020.
