Famous star Richard Madden will soon embark his return on Bodyguard Season 2. After the huge success of the first season, BBC One has decided to bring back the show to our screens. With a brilliant ensemble cast, the drama managed to gather millions of viewers on each episode. The six-episode series began back in August 2018, and it took over all our hearts by its end in late September.

Richard Madden is known by his bold and charming role as Robb Stark from the top-rated show, Game Of Thrones. Also, after his role as Police Sergeant David Budd, aka Bodyguard, he has become a heartthrob for women around the world.
David is a heroic British Army war veteran suffering from PTSD as a result of his time in the Army. He is now appointed as the specialist protection officer of Conservative MP Julie Montague (Keeley Hawes). The story expands with him getting framed in a deadly conspiracy and how he manages to get everything right. Moreover, he is left conflicted over where his loyalties lie.
Bodyguard Season 2: Will There Be Another Season?
Fans have been waiting to know if there will be another season. After its massive success in the first season, show-creator Jed Mercurio believes that Bodyguard deserves a second season. He also calls the return of the BBC thriller ‘optimistic.’ Moreover, he adds that there are several logistics in terms of setting up Season 2. Also, this clearly hints that the second installment is on its way, though, it may take a while to reach us.
It has already been months after the release of Season 1, back in August 2018. BBC One is yet to announce the renewal. Fans now expect a formal renewal to the show at the least. However, as hinted by Mercurio, David Budd will soon be back for Bodyguard Season 2.
Bodyguard Season 2: What Will Happen?
After being through a lot in Season 1, Budd will now be ready for a new adventure. The season ended on Budd and Vicky (Sophie Rundle) on a visit to his parent with their children. We may expect him to return after the trip and get back on work. Moreover, this time he may become the incharge to protect someone other than Montague.
Bodyguard Season 2: When Will It Release On Netflix?
The popular thriller initially released on BBC One and gathered the highest viewing figure for a new drama on the channel. The show took a few months to air on Netflix back in October 2019. All the episode are available to stream on the platform.
As of now, the creators do not plan to declare a firm release date. It may take a while for them to finalize the show. After which, the drama may go under production taking longer than the fans expect. However, we can still hope the series to premiere by the end of 2019.
