Charmed, the iconic show of 90’s, retraced its path last year for its beloved fans on The CW as the reboot Charmed. The audience loved the fantasy-magical world of witches and spells. Also, the success of the debut season led to the renewal for the second season of the series, Charmed Season 2.
Developed by Jennie Snyder Urman, Jessica O’Toole, and Amy Rardin, Charmed is a fantasy drama series of The CW. It is a reboot of The WB series of the same name, created by Constance M. Burge and originally aired from 1998 to 2006. The spin-off series debuted last year, in October and became one of the popular shows of the network. And in January 2019, the show got renewed for its sophomore run.
Charmed focuses on three sisters, Macy (Madeleine Mantock), Mel (Melonie Diaz) and Maggie (Sarah Jeffery). After the deaths of their mothers, all three of them become the next powerful good witches, The Charmed Ones. The trio is destined to protect the humankind from demons and other dark forces in their fictional college town of Hilltowne, Michigan. Also, each of them has a unique magical power, which is much stronger when all work together as the Power of Three, to defeat their enemies. There is also a sidekick, advisor, and protector, Whitelighter, Harry Greenwood (Rupert Evans) who guides them.
Charmed Season 2: Premiere Synopsis Released
Recently, on Thursday, the official synopsis for the premiere episode of Season 2 has released. Titled ‘Safe Space,’ the premiere episode will follow the devastating loss of The Elders. As they are gone now, Mel, Maggie and Macy will take over their duties. Though stuck in work, Maggie takes out time to celebrate her birthday. However, Mel will not be able to join the big bash because of work.

Later, Macy shocks her sisters in the next morning with an announcement. Meanwhile, a mysterious hooded foe attacks The Charmed Ones who escape through a portal while Harry (Rupert Evans) has an unnerving encounter with the villain. After that, the girls reach in a secret location where they uncover more about the mystical world of The Elders and community workspaces.
Continually, Macy will nurse a severe wound, and Maggie will get to meet a handsome stranger (Jordan Donica). The trio will need to quickly realize their duties and must decide if they are genuinely prepared for the responsibility.
New Season With New Showrunners
As the second season is all set to bring new changes to the series, it will bore new showrunners also. Liz Kruger and Craig Shapiro will now serve as the show-runners for the series. Also, Kruger discussed the story shift of Season 2 in an interview. According to him, the events of season one have destabilized the Magical World, unbeknownst to them when the new season begins. Also, the Witch World is going to descend into chaos without the Elders productions, and the Charmed Ones will be the targets or someone or something, he added. The first half of the second season will delve in this mystery.
