Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 11: Almost Finished Filming With COVID-Special- Exit Of Richard Lewis And More

HBO

Finally, after a year-long wait, Jeff Garlin teased that Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 11 is almost about to wrap up. Well, the show is famous for portraying the current running issues in a much hilarious manner, and we can expect the same in season 11. However, Jeff teased that it’s not the case in the upcoming season. Though they have plans to address COVID-related issues, yet it won’t be entirely pandemic-centric. It looks like Larry David wants to play with our minds. Now let’s see what happens next.

Curb Your Enthusiasm has been on the air for over two decades and shortly set up itself as a TV classic. It follows the comedic exploits of Larry David’s fictional version. The series has managed to offer nine seasons, with the most recent one aired earlier last year. Of course, the gap between the two seasons always made us wonder whether the series would return soon this time. However, again it’s not the case this time.

Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 11: Who Will Be In The Cast?

Unfortunately, fans favorite Richard Lewis won’t return this season. For 20 years, Richard had been a huge part of the series. However, in mid-January 2021, Richard shared the sad news that he has to leave the show for at least this season to recover from numerous surgeries. “What a ride, LD!” Richard wrote on the photo of himself with the creator Larry David.

Well, in past eighteen months, Richard has undergone two shoulder and back surgeries. Thus he can’t make it in this season. However, Richard promises to return if the show gets season 12. Richard plays himself, as he’s in his real life. He is famous for his countless girlfriends, whom he calls are the ones. Richard has even given Lewis his kidney when Lewis needs a kidney transplant back in the fifth season. So, deeming his presence in the show, Richard will soon make his return, perhaps in next season.

Who Will Return?

Well, the show won’t be Curb Your Enthusiasm if there’s no Larry David in it. So there’s no doubt that our grumpy and quirky protagonist Larry David will return as a semi-retired television producer and writer. He won’t be alone as his best friend and manager, Jeff Garlin (Jeff Greene), will also return. Cheryl David as Cheryl Hines will return with Susie Greene as Susie Essman and Leon Black as J.B. Smoove.

Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 11: Has Production Begun For The Next Run?

HBO didn’t take much time to renew Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 11 as soon as the tenth season aired earlier last year. Since then, fans have been curious to learn when David will return with the following season. Finally, Jeff Garlin shared that they’re back at work. Jeff confirmed that they have only three more weeks left to wrap up filming. Well, filming is going solely in Los Angeles, where they have already shot seven episodes.

Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 11: Will Address COVID-19

Recently, Jeff shared an interesting tidbit. The upcoming season will not entirely focus on COVID. In fact, Jeff said that only one episode would heavily tackle the pandemic. Well, both Jeff and David don’t want to focus on COVID-stuff. He said everyone has their story, and they aren’t interested in working on it, especially when the pandemic is still going on. So the upcoming season will entirely focus on post-COVID.

Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 11: When To Expect?

The series would soon wrap up its filming, so they have plenty of time left for post-production. As per Jeff, Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 11 could return this fall. But we haven’t learned any official announcement yet. So, till then, let’s wait for some more updates.
