What Show-Runner Thinks About Dark Season 3?

While talking about Dark Season 3 to IndieWire, show-runner Jantje Friese stated that the basic idea of the third season was something that they (Jantje and Odar) already had in mind when they started. Also, according to Jantje, there are a lot of things in the first season hinted to the third season. Not just this, the two also thought about putting some of the stuff which will now feature in the final season in the second one, but then decided to move it. Therefore, the last season will put forth all the material that it can provide in the final season.

Would Feature Multiple Dimensions

The final shots of the second season saw an alternative version of Marta (as Adam killed her already) arriving and revealing to Jonas that she’s not what all think she is. Also, when asked about what time she came from, Marta teased as “The question isn’t from what time, but from what world,” This happened before she took Jonas to somewhere.

This means that there is some kind of alternate dimension that exists and is now open. Also, that might be the same place where Marta took Jonas. But, the question arises that how this new plot-line of multiple dimension fits in the context. Whatever will that be, the audience is definitely going to enjoy this new twist.

Dark Season 3: Release Date

At the time of renewal announcement, Odar also hinted that the final season would arrive sometime 2020. Also, the second season of Dark premiered on June 27, 2019, the day Michael (AKA Mikkel) killed himself. That is the day which created the whole hula hoop for the first season. Therefore, Netflix might again intentionally release the final season on the same day; that is, June 27, 2020.
