DC Universe has announced a digital streaming service coming out in September. The announcement was made during a live streaming event of DC Daily hosted by Kevin Smith. It is said the DC Universe Streaming Service will be the one stop for the DC fans to access all the DC Universe content.
The DC Universe Streaming Service will officially launch on “Batman Day” Sept. 15 at 5:59 a.m. PT. in the U.S. and will be the new destination of DC Universe’s upcoming originals (animated as well as live-action). The subscribers will also get a physical omnibus edition of The New Teen Titans that will be mailed to them
The subscription cost of the service will be $7.99 per month or $74.99 per year. For this price, you get the access to all the content on the platform and will get opportunities to win exciting prizes which include a tour of Warner Bros.’ studio and a Batmobile ride. Moreover, you can connect with other fans and also earn rewards.
The first original debut on the platform will be the show, Titans, which will premiere at New York Comic Con on October 3rd, and gets an official release on the streaming service on October 12th. The platform will also have the HD remastered version of Batman: The Animated Series as well as a wide range of TV shows.
The die heart fans who pre-order an annual membership before launch will get free three months subscription of DC Universe. The library will also contain a curated selection of DC comics, a DC Entertainment news hub where they will make their announcement regarding upcoming projects and more. The service is expected to launch on Android, iOS, Roku, Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, and in web and mobile web versions platforms to cover a larger audience.
