Buckle up all the detective brains. Endeavour Season 7 is coming for the beloved fans of the detective drama. The show-runners made the official announcement about the renewal of series in February 2019. And since then, the fans are longing to hear a single update on the upcoming season.
Endeavour is a detective TV series of ITV, created by Russell Lewis. The series follows a young Detective Sergeant Endeavour Morse (Shaun Evans) along with his partner Detective Inspector Fred Thursday (Roger Allam) through difficult crime situations in the 1960s and 1970s. The show is primarily set in Oxford where Morse began his career as a detective constable. However, later he becomes a detective sergeant under the Oxford City Police CID.
Endeavour Season 7: Production Started
The filming work for the seventh season of Endeavour is now underway. The shooting is taking place in and around Oxford, where the entire shotting for the series took place. Also, as confirmed by ITV, the upcoming season will only comprise a three-episode queue. There has been a cut down on the number of episodes as the entire previous seasons comprised four episodes.

Future After Endeavour Season 7
The audience doesn’t need to worry about the future of the series. With the seventh installment of Endeavour incoming, the show all receive the renewal for the eighth season. That’s right. This happened despite rumors that the show is nearing towards the end with its seventh season. So, whatever will happen by the end of the seventh season, it is pretty sure that Detective Endeavour Morse will return to deal with it.
What Will Happen In The Upcoming Season?
With the seventh season, the series will enter in the 70’s era. It seems like the upcoming season of Endeavour will be more in a serialized tone. All three episodes will be like a brand new interconnecting feature-length films. As stated by the creator Russel Lewis himself, the narrative design of the series gives them the opportunity to deliver a particularly distinctive story shape. And the seventh season will be approached as a three panel of a triptych.
Endeavour Season 7 will feature 1970, where the team will reunite at Castle Gate CID. Also, the Chief Superintendent Bright will be back in charge. However this time, the season will feature a murder at the canal towpath on New Year’s Day. Also, the team has to work even harder than before to find the culprit. That is because the only clue in the entire investigation is the witness who heard whistling on the night of the crime.
Endeavour Season 7 Release Date
As of now, the production work has already started for Endeavour Season 7. Therefore, the audience needs to wait for some time to have the next season of Endeavour. The upcoming season will likely premiere in the first quarter of 2020. This is because all the previous seasons of the series also premiered in the early months of their respective years of release. However, an official premiere date is yet to be announced by ITV for Endeavour Season 7.
