The show is running its fifth season on AMC right now, which started airing in June 2019. However, in July, at Comic-Con International, show-runners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg officially announced the renewal of the show for its sixth season. The renewal news brought in a breeze of fresh air for the die-hard fans of AMC’s apocalyptic series.

Fear The Walking Dead Season 6: Cast Additions

Along with the ones who would survive through season five, the audience will see some new faces in Season 6. As Variety confirmed, the sixth season will have, Alexa Mansour (How to Get Away with Murder), Nicolas Cantu (Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie), and Hal Cumpston (Bilched).

From the core cast team, the sixth season would also have Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo, Danay Garcia, Garret Dillahunt, Maggie Grace, Jenna Elfman, Alexa Nisenson, Austin Amelio, Ruben Blades, and Karen David.

Fear The Walking Dead Season 6: Plot Details

The fifth season of the series is still in the run. Therefore, there is not much to presume for the forthcoming season before the ending of the fifth season. The final episode for Season five is scheduled to air on September 29, 2019. However, at the announcement at Comic-Con, the show-runners also discussed some plot-details for the sixth season. According to that, the second half of season five would set some significant changes for the upcoming sixth season.

As per Chambliss, the world is going to expand in a big way in season five, and it is going to shake the entire group to the very core and change the show for season six.

Fans Backlashing Season 6

Also, the show-runners got to deal with quite a setback when they officially opened up for fan questioning on AMC’s Talking Dead. In that, most of the response from the fans was negative. Mostly, they were on the renewal of Fear The Walking Dead for Season 6. They literally accused the show-runners of destroying the fantastic series by renewing it for another run. Also, they asked to cancel the show and leave it with beautiful five seasons.

Premiere Date

Apart from Season one, all the following seasons of the show premiered in between April and June of their respective years of release. The fifth season also landed on June 2, 2019. Therefore, Fear The Walking Dead Season 6 will likely premiere in June 2020.
