It’s been seven months since Game Of Thrones Season 8 premiered. But the craze for the TV series is still on. Moreover, the final season of GOT earned the maximum number of Nominations and Awards at the Emmy Awards 2019. The eight and the last season of Games of throne also showcased the most anticipated part of the series. The third episode titled, The Long Night, is still the most celebrated part of the series.
Recently a deleted scene from the same episode is going viral. The shot is featuring Sansa Stark and Tyrion Lannister. However, as soon as the scene caught the eyes of the internet, various reactions came forward. But the most that why was this scene deleted?
The deleted scene is from the time when the dead Starks started to rise. Later, they began to attack the people hiding down there. As it is aired in the episode, Tyrion and Sansa look terrified. Moreover, they share a look before drawing their blades. It seems that they are preparing themselves before the big fight, but that never happened onscreen.

Later in the scene that was cut, both Tyrion and Sansa are trying to get up and use their weapon against the dead inside the crypts. Moreover, they are seen telling Gilly and Missandei that they were on the verge of being killed. The run time of this deleted scene is about two minutes. And this shot clearly shows how things got terrible inside the crypts of Winterfell.
Well, we all know how much Sansa Stark was criticized during the Battle Of Winterfell. The lady was called coward and underserving to be sitting on the throne of Winterfell. However, Arya was celebrated by the audience for killing the Night King, Jon Snow gave it all in the battle and was applauded too. But as the episode revealed, Sansa was sitting there inside the crypt.
It was titled ‘Hiding Like A Coward’ by some viewers. Hence this scene was very relevant for the fans of Sansa. Moreover, this scene would have also shown her as the deserving candidate to rule as the Queen of Winterfell. Hence, cutting out this scene wasn’t necessary. Also, the scene is of just about two minutes; therefore it wouldn’t have bothered the overall runtime of the episode too.
