Though, the Crypt is not at all a safe place as it possesses the lots of dead ancestral of the Stark family. It seems like Night King will land on undead Viserion in Winterfell and will try to bring every Northerner in his dead army. He will revive all the undead residing in the crypts as the crypts are filled with fresh and beautiful flesh he will require for his army. There are also some factors that leads us to this outcome.

Arya is Running All Terrified

The trailer of the final season featured Arya running all terrified through the halls of Winterfell. It seems like she has been followed by something which is scaring the hell out of her. The audience knows that Arya is one tough solid character of Game of Thrones. She never gets scared easily, and if she is, there is something big that is chasing her. Maybe her dead aunt Lyanna Stark, or his headless father, Ned Stark. *No Offence*

Jon’s Dream

George R.R. Martin’s novels contain quite loads of details. The audience who read the novels already knows such details. It features a dream of Jon’s which will add more to this Crypt theory. According to that dream, he was wandering through the empty castle, searching for his father. He reached to the crypts and heard some rumbling of stones. As he turns, he saw the vaults opening and dead Starks coming out of their old cold graves. Just after this, he wakes up in complete darkness, while his heart is racing like hell.

There are some more pointers that also signals towards this plot. This includes the creepy crypts teaser of Game of Thrones Season 8, where Jon, Sansa, and Arya were standing right in front of their statues.

Game Of Thrones Season 8: Does Night King Possess This Much Of Power?

It seems like the Night King acquire a specific range within which his powers of reliving the deads work. If this is not, he can resurrect any of the deads from their grave in just a second. But that is something stupid and irrelevant to see as a plot line. Moreover, in the fifth season, of Game of Thrones, the audience saw Night King resurrecting all the dead wildings beyond the wall. Therefore, Night King will need to reach somewhere near the crypts to bring back all the dead Starks and create more chaos than ever.
