After a really long break of more than a year, the fans finally get a release date for Hanna Season 2. The majority of the people already assumed that the release of the second season would be postponed due to the outbreak. But Amazon Prime dropped the first teaser with a release date and stunned everyone. The hype for the upcoming installment increased even more after that.
Hanna is an American action drama web TV series. It is based on the movie of the same name released in 2011. This show premiered on 29 March 2019 on Amazon Prime and became an instant hit. This show received an enormous response from the fans as well as the critics. It followed the story of a super-soldier teen girl who is chased by a vicious CIA agent.
First Teaser Out!
Amazon Prime released the first teaser for the second season of this show recently. It wasn’t that much much informative, but it will surely give the vibe of what will be coming for the fans. The promo features a newly blonde Hanna and the new villain, John Carmichael. In the promo, he observes Hanna with multiple CCTV cameras. However, she noticed somehow that she is being watched and give a stare back at the camera. Amazon also released a short description along with it. It reads, “Keep an eye out for Hanna. Now that she’s found others just like her, Utrax will do anything to control her.”
Hanna Season 2: Plot Details!
At the end of the inaugural season, the fans saw Hanna already convinced one soldier named Clara to go with her. However, in this process, her father, Erik, died. It is still unknown whether this the clip from the promo is actual footage from the second season or not. The fans might see Hanna going back inside and convince more trainees to abandon the program. But the one thing is very clear, UTRAX will do anything and will cross every limit to control Hanna and other super soldiers.
Hanna Season 2 will more likely concentrate on more super soldiers, aka sisters, and their progress within the program. Although the super-soldiers share genetic strengths with Hanna, their childhoods stand different from her. So the development of them will be exciting to watch. In the forthcoming season, the fans might the return of Sophia and her family. And they will continue Hanna’s education into teenage life. The showrunner of this show already told the fans that the second season would be a whole new experience for every single viewer.
Hanna Season 2: Cast Updates
As far as we know, the creators announced five new additions in the cast of Hanna season 2. And we already see Dermot Mulroney as “John Carmichael,” in the newly released teaser. The other four additions are Anthony Welsh as “Leo Garner,” Cherelle Skeete as “Teri Miller,” Severine Howell-Meri as “Helen,” and Gianna Kiehl as “Jules.” The last two characters in the list will portray the character of new UTRAX trainees.
Almost all of the main cast members from the first season will reprise their roles along with them. Esme Creed-Miles will once again take the lead role as “Hanna.” Even though Erik and Jerome were both dead by the end of the debut season, but the spoilers are saying that the fans will see them too in the second season.
