FXX’s wildly popular sitcom is all set to complete one and a half decades of its telecast. Since Season 14 is almost approaching, fans need to know if there’s hope for It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia Season 15. Luckily, it seems like there’s a lot of hope, and we’re ready to tell you why. Hence, here’s everything you need to know.
It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia debuted long ago in 2005 (doesn’t seem that long, does it?) on FX. It later shifted to FXX for its ninth season by 2013. The show remains to be the longest-running live-action sitcom (besides ABC’s The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet). However, it’s not just the length that makes the sitcom special. It’s also the quality of content that makes it rememberable even after all these years. To top it all, its connectivity with the audience helps it to survive.
As of now, FXX may take a while to renew the series. The network and the producers are looking for a firm decision. Although it seems like both the sides are ready to go for another shot. As per the show’s history, they usually do not take long to greenlit the sitcom for future installments. Moreover, as a matter of fact, both Season 13 & 14 were renewed altogether without a doubt back in 2016.

For a show that runs for almost fifteen long years, it’s not the first time fans worry about its future. Fortunately, It’s Always Sunny In Philadephia Season 15 already looks hopeful. As per Deadline, FX Chairman John Landgraf expresses that the installment may happen if The Gang chooses to. He adds that it’s always up to them and they’ll decide the future of the show.
Landgraf continues that they may even take the show to Season 15 & 16 if creator, developer and lead actor Rob McElhenney wishes to. Moreover, he also says that FX absolutely wants to make more of the series. On the other hand, as a reply, McElhenney shares the screenshot of an article reporting Landgraf’s opinion. He captions the post as “that’s a nice thing to start the day with.”
Season 14 of FXX popular comedy is yet to hit the screens and arrives on September 25, 2019. Moreover, the network is still deciding whether to renew the fifteenth installment. Hence, it’s currently difficult to predict a date. However, since both Season 13 & 14 have September release date. This potentially hints that the next season may also return by September 2020.
