Vaun Wilmott To Step Into Paul Scheuring’s Shoes
Hey there Jack Ryan Fans, We have a piece of shocking news for you. Paul Scheuring who just joined the Jack Ryan team has quit after only two months of the job. Now that he is gone, our very own Vaun Wilmott (Star Trek producer) is joining the team as the new showrunner.
Last fall the news of “Prison Break” creator Paul Scheuring joining the show broke out. He stepped into the shoes of the notable screenwriter David Scarpa and Carlton Cuse. The two acted as the showrunners for season 1 and 2. Sadly Paul has left the show. The reasons for his departure are not clear yet. If the rumors are to be believed, Paul felt that he wasn’t right for the position.
Meanwhile, our favorite John Krasinski who plays Ryan in the series will get more involved in the BTS of the show. He became quite famous after the success of A Quiet Place. He and Wilmott will be working together on the scripts of Jack Ryan season 3. The rumor has it, that John will also actively participate in the creative process of the show.
What Could Be The Plot?
Since the team is still working on the script, not many details about the plot are out. However, the way Jack Ryan season 2 ended, there are many doors of possibilities open. The first season of the series was adapted from Tom Clancy’s The Hunt For Red October. Although, the second season did not follow even a bit of that story.
Season 2 ended with Jack exposing U.S. Senate and the truths about corruption happening there. This did disturb Jack but did not tell anything about the future of season 3. However, we can expect the storyline to continue in South America. There are possibilities that we might get to see new faces in season 3.

John Krasinski is coming back is all that we know as of this moment. His field partner Greer, played by Wendell Piere might not anymore be on the field and engage himself with the administrative works. If this happens, a spot for someone new opens. Other than that Dr. Cathy Mueller(Abbie Cornish) who was missing from season 2 might come back in season 3. Her story feels quite incomplete at the moment.
Jack Ryan Season 3: Release Date
Since there are a lot of changes happening in the Jack Ryan Season 3 production team, sadly we can expect that the show might get delayed. The script for the show is being prepared. We hope the productions start soon too. We might get to see the show somewhere in late 2020.
