Kid Cosmic Season 2: The first season of Kid Cosmic was released on Netflix this February. So, it is still very soon to start drawing any conclusions on whether or not Kid Cosmic Season 2 would happen. Netflix is yet to renew the series. Keeping in mind the renewing pattern, Netflix usually takes time of about a few weeks to six months to renew any series. This gives them time to analyze the viewership. So, we must be patient to know if Netflix is renewing or canceling the series for Kid Cosmic Season 2.
With that said, there is a huge possibility that Netflix will renew the show for Kid Cosmic Season 2 rather quickly. Digital Weekly reports that Nico Colello, who works at Netflix, says in a now-deleted tweet that the first season of the series is just a prologue, and two more seasons of the series are coming. Even if the tweet is now deleted, the news seems quite legit. So, viewers can be very hopeful that Netflix will make an official announcement of renewing the next season sooner. Kid Cosmic Season 2: What Would Happen Next?
The first season of Kid Cosmic sees the Biker in the Black as he acquires power rings. He then assembles a group of super-soldiers and called them Earth Force Enforcement Force. The Kid then realizes that these rings belong to the aliens. With that, he also realizes that these rings don’t mean harm to anyone. Viewers come to know specifically that each of these stones is the residue of a destroyed world that was ruined by Erodius. Kid Cosmic eventually finds out about his telekinetic powers. He then uses them to channel Earth’s force and obtain the rings from Biker in Black.
Then the aliens go back to their home. However, in the final moments of the first season, viewers get to see Queen Xhan. She is the lone survivor of another attack by Erodious. She then calls upon the local heroes for an interplanetary mission. The first season ends with all these Local Heroes getting teleported into the wide space along with Flo’s truck stop restaurant.
When Kid Cosmic Season 2 will most probably feature all the main characters. Erodius being the antagonist of the series. The new episodes will bring in an even ambitious story. Kid Cosmic Season 2 will take off from the original American Southwest setting. And even though the Biker in Black did lose the battle, that does mean he would never come back for a bigger war. So, it is possible that the military man will track down the stones after coming to know that there are eight more stones in existence.
When Will The Show Release?
Given that the show isn’t renewed yet, it is quite tricky to say when the next season would release. However, if the show does arrive before 2021 ends, viewers must not be surprised. If the creators have already started working on more of the show, it is quite possible that we will get the episodes sooner.
While all the live-action filming is really hampered, that isn’t the case with animations. They also have been affected but not to the same degree. So, we can expect to see more of the show sometime in either the second half of 2021 or the first half of 2022 maybe.
