Kingdom, which is also known as Kingdeom is Netflix’s first South Korean show. It is a political period supernatural thriller web TV series. It is the remake of the webcomic series named The Kingdom of Gods written by Kim Eun-Hee. This series made its debut on 25 January 2019, which was positively reviewed. However, the creators renewed the series for its second season even before the premiere of the inaugural season. The second season of this series premiered recently on 13 March 2020, and now the fans are demanding for more.

The official renewal for Kingdom Season 3 hasn’t come from Netflix yet. However, it is only a matter of time when the fans get the news about the series being renewed. The series is performing well and getting fantastic reviews. So, there is no reason for the creators to halt the series. Also, Since the second season set up the storyline for the third season, therefore, the renewal will definitely come sooner than later. The streaming giant has high expectations from this zombie thriller.

Throughout the previous season, Seo Bi tried to remove and stop the plagues to save mankind. In the finale, the fans witnessed an intense battle between Lee Chang and Queen Cho. Seo Bi stole the Queen’s baby and hides from her army to make sure that her devilish plan doesn’t work. 

The previous season of this was gripping and intense. Kingdom Season 3 will pick up from the cliffhanger finale of the second season. The fans will see the Queen exploring from ground to sky to get her baby back. Lee Chang will struggle to find the source of the plague and try to stop it from spreading in all of humankind. Seo Bi continues to hide from the army with the Queen’s baby. It will be exciting to see that if she can find the cure for this plague in the upcoming season. With the dead just levels away from infecting the whole of humanity, Kingdom Season 3 will be going to be another level thriller for the fans.

According to some reports, Kingdom Season 3 might get some new cast additions. However, who they are and what their character will be is still not known. The fans bid farewell to so many cast members in the second season because of the undead plague. But some characters will definitely return for the third season. These characters include Ju Ji Hoon as “Lee Chang,” Bae Doona as “Seo Bi,” Kim Hye-jun as “Queen Cho,” Jun Suk-Ho as “Jo Beom-Pal,” and Kim Sung-Kyu as “Young Shin.”

When Will It Release?

The inaugural season of this series premiered in January, and the second season premiered in March next year. So if the Netflix renews the show early and the production starts in time, the fans can expect Kingdom Season 3 to release in the first quarter of 2021. However, the production is likely to delay because of the corona outbreak, and it can be one of the reasons Netflix hasn’t renewed the show yet.
