Krypton Season 2: Teaser Released, Cast Updates, Plot Details And More

Krypton is one of the most binge-watched shows of Syfy. The audience loved the plot line of the show, including Superman’s ancestors and his birthplace. And even before the finale episode of the first season, Syfy renewed the show for its second season, Krypton Season 2.
Developed by David S. Goyer, the show is based on DC Comics character. It is set approximately 200 years before the birth of Kal-El a.k.a. Superman. The prequel series focuses on Superman’s grandfather Seg-El, played by Cameron Cuffe, and the eventual destruction of the planet.
His family, House of El has been disparaged and shamed. Hence, Seg tries his best to restore the honor of the family and protect his family. Krypton debuted on March 21, 2018, and received mixed reviews from both, the audience and the critics. Although, the show received an average of 2 million total viewers each week, which ranked it as the most-watched debut season on Syfy.

The teaser of the second season released on April 18, 2019. It features the reprisal of Brainiac (Blake Ritson) and more strengthened Dru-Zod. It also has the best looking Doomsday the audience can ever see. The teaser also highlighted Brainiac’s influence on Seg-El as they rely on each other to survive in Phantom Zone. The teaser is filled with quite some brain-freezers which will increase the curiosity of the audience.

Krypton Season 2: Cast Updates

Along with the core cast members, the second season will also feature some new faces. Emmett Scanlan will join the cast as Lobo. Lobo is an anti-hero, who hunts the universe on his bike and sweep everyone off whoever shows up in his way. She has also played Jim Corrigan in DC and NBC’s collaboration, Constantine.

The show is nothing without Cameron Cuffe playing Seg-El, including Shaun Sipos as Adam Strange and Colin Salmon as Zod. The core cast team will also comprise Wallis Day as Nyssa-Vex, Georgina Campbell as Lyta-Zos, Ann Ogbomo as Jayna-Zod, Aaron Pierre as Dev-Em, Hannah Waddingham as Jax-Ur and Ian McElhinney as Val-El.

What Will Happen in Krypton Season 2?

The first season of Krypton left quite some open-ended threads to complete in the second one. Zod is all set to take on the entire galaxy. Doomsday is on the loose, and Adam Strange is struck in one of the bottle cities of the Brainiac.
Meanwhile, Krypton Season 2 will amaze the audience with cameos of DC characters. There were reports that a New God will be there in the second season. And that could include Darkseid, you never know. The show would likely also feature Hawkgirl and Green Lanterns. All this will make the second season pretty fascinating and cosmic.
