The author Ng said in an interview that ‘Never say Never.’ This implies that she might write a sequel to her book. She added that she is open to writing one but when that is not sure. Again, these are mere speculations and nothing is fixed. But there is some hope.
In an interview with Vulture, Celeste Ng said that the characters might come back to her to tell their story. This vaguely hints toward the development of part 2. She further added that this idea might probably take a few years to materialize. However, news reports say that the showrunner Liz Tigelaar is not positive about it.
Nonetheless, it is exciting to note that the series gave an open-ended finale instead of a closed-ended wrap-up in the book. This calls for some action to come around. The series has garnered a lot of views on the streaming platform. The new season would benefit Hulu and that probably clears the way for Little Fires Everywhere Season 2.

The screenwriter Liz Tigelaar admitted that she would love to be a part of season 2. This was the best creative project she worked on and would cherish the experience.
She also gave hints for ‘more stories to tell’ which might result in the next season. However, it is concluded that she is inclined toward a spinoff rather than a season 2.

Ng’s 2017 novel follows Richardson family whose lives are disrupted after a fire broke out in their house. This takes the show in the flashback that explains how and why it happened what happened. The story revolves around the race, the secrets, the art, the identity, the motherhood, and the privilege.
