Finally, we have received the first look at the show’s main villain, Dodge, who’s moving ahead to the second season with some heinous approach. But she won’t be alone in her mission as the upcoming season ensures returning with a more spooky, mysterious, and thrilling quest.
Locke And Key debuted back in early 2020 and received a positive response. Inspired by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s comics of the same name, Locke And Key, is a fantasy and horror series. It is centered on three kids who discover magical keys in the mysterious Keyhouse, which give them scary powers. However, they began facing some strange events after they unleash the power.
Locke And Key Season 2: Has Production Begun For The Next Run?
A few days ago, Laysla shared a snap on Instagram teasing her villainous character return to the second season. The picture saw the actress in Dodge’s attire with edgy makeup. She even mocked how Laysla is entirely in Dodge mode now. Well, this look of Laysla as Dodge was certainly thrilling as we haven’t had heard anything about the upcoming season for quite a long time.
However, in early March, Darby Stanchfield posted a picture with co-stars Jackson Robert Scott and Connor Jessup teasing that half of the second season filming has wrapped up. The filming began in September after a long break due to the current crisis. So, it’s more likely that the second half would wrap up soon.
Locke And Key Season 2: Who Will Be In The Cast?
The above snaps teased that the main cast of the Locke family will return. These include Darby Stanchfield as Nina, Connor Jessup as Tyler, Emilia Jones as Kinsey, and Jackson Robert Scott as Bode. Even Laysla De Oliveria as Dodge will return with Felix Mallard as Lucas and Griffin Gluck as Gabe. However, some new faces would also join the realm. These include Brendan Hines as Josh Bennett, an attractive history teacher with some hidden agenda.
It also reported that Hallea Jones as Eden Hawkins and Aaron Ashmore as Duncan Locke had been upped as series regulars. There are also rumors that Liyou Abere would join as the guest star in the second run. Although Dodge will play a central role in the upcoming season yet, there’s a possibility of some new villains too.
Locke And Key Season 2: What Will Happen Next?
Picking up from where it left, the Locke family would deal with the fact of throwing Ellie (Sherrie Saum) into the dark and void space beyond the Omega Door after being tricked by demons. It also looks like Eden has no control over her as she’s also controlled by the demons now. Elsewhere the upcoming season would explore several doors, which mean new keys and demons. But there’s plenty of storylines still to emerge.

As of now, the streamer hasn’t opened up about the release date of Locke And Key Season 2. But it would eventually reveal as they have already wrapped up filming. So we can assume that Locke And Key Season 2 most likely to air this fall.
